Is it true that the Earth's magnetic field is weakened compared to a few years ago?

Yes the earth magnetic field has weakened alot. It may be the sign that we are heading towards the next pole shift. Since noone has ever witnessed a pole shift and record its effects, we really do not know what will happen during one. The were humans more than 640,000 years ago when the last pole shift occurred and we as a species survived, so i think it should not be very harmful. Nasa says that during a pole shift, the earths magnetic field is not completely gone, just more complicated, so that means that we are still protected from the harmful solar radiation. Other than that, expect extraordinary northern/southern lights all over the world. Oh and 2012 is utter BS, please be more sensible. :)geo
