Shyness for No Reason!!!!!!?

I have a boyfriend this is our 3 time dating. I like him alot but im shy. When we hug people say i give him a scary hug and that i act shy around him and i don't talk to him. He is the exact opposite. I want to keep him so help me with advice or something. Im also a great dancer but i never dance a the school dances. We are have Sadie's on Friday and I don't want him to dance with another girl but im too shy to shy to dance with him. Please give sincere help. Thanks.
