Is the Hillary bashing really about the fact that far right doesnt care about the working cl?

To start with, you have to realize that not all Republicans are rich. The core of the party in recent years has been rural, working cl, white Protestants. For them, the appeal has been a strong military, a strong belief in Jesus, a distrust of anyone who's not a rural, working cl, white Protestant American, and a feeling that things would be better if they stopped changing so fast. Fiscal and tax policy are frankly too complicated for most people, and they'll never get many votes. The best way to get support from the poorly informed has always been to tell them who is to blame for their problems, and to promise to do something about it. This time around Republicans are blaming illegal immigrants, and many Americans are going for it. Why change what works?
