How do you get rid of streatch marks?

I have been using Palmer's Firming er for about a month now and I haven't seen any improvement. It says on the bottle that it is supposed to tighten skin; it hasn't. I feel very uncomfortable in my own body and I want these stretch marks gone for good. Does any one know what i can do to help reduce the appearance of them? I don't think that I would look to good in a bathing suit.
